Explore our sustainability initiatives below:

we take pride in cultivating the finest herbs with a strong commitment to both quality and sustainability. Our Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices, alongside the use of bio-based chemicals, ensure that every herb we grow adheres to a strict Maximum Residue Level (MRL) policy. This rigorous approach guarantees that our herbs are not only fresh and flavorful but also meet the highest safety standards. By minimizing chemical use and embracing eco-friendly methods, we protect both the purity of our produce and the health of the environment.

Through fully drip-enabled farms and the use of reservoirs to store surplus water, we minimize water usage and ensure efficient irrigation practices. Each crop has its own irrigation setup, filtration, and fertigation control unit, optimizing water usage for maximum efficiency.

NutroGreen Agro is committed to energy efficiency and sustainability. We utilize Mityana city power supplemented by individual backup generators, with plans to install solar power in the future to further reduce our carbon footprint.

We prioritize environmentally friendly crop protection methods, with 40% of our pesticides being bio- based and a target to increase to 50% by the end of the year. Beneficial insects, rotational crop management, and incorporation of crop residues into the soil are among the strategies we employ to minimize chemical usage.

From buffer zones and wildlife corridors to electric fences and tree planting initiatives, we are dedicated to conserving our natural resources and protecting biodiversity. Collaboration with organizations like the NFA Uganda Forestry Service ensures that our efforts are aligned with national conservation goals.

Our commitment to sustainability extends to our natural farm production practices. From establishing tea plantations to utilizing compost from waste materials for soil enrichment, we prioritize organic and regenerative farming techniques. Additionally, initiatives such as apiaries and tree nurseries contribute to biodiversity and ecosystem health.

At NutroGreen Agro, sustainability is not just a buzzword – it's a way of life. We are proud to lead the way in environmentally conscious agriculture, and we invite you to join us on our journey towards a greener, more sustainable future.
